Day 278: 9 Months
Mitchell, you're already 3/4 of your way to 1 year. Time is flying by and here's what you're up to...
Your monthly picture has become way more difficult. You definitely noticed the sign there the past couple months, but we were able to distract you long enough to get a decent picture. This month it was literally throw you on the couch and start snapping.
Everyone thinks you are such a happy baby. That's because they are giving you attention when they say that. If you aren't the center of attention we have a major meltdown on our hands.
And when I say center of attention, that usually means someone better be sitting right next to you or holding you. It usually isn't enough for us to just wave to you and talk to you from the other room.
You make the funniest faces and recently you have started shaking your head "no" a lot. You must like the feel of your head thrashing back and forth.
You can definitely move across the floor is some kind of a "crawl." You just don't do it with your belly off the floor the whole time. It's kind of hard to explain, but you get up on all fours, propel yourself forward, fall, and then repeat.
You still don't have any teeth. Maya didn't get her first tooth until 11 months and it seems you are going to be the same way.
You love food - anything and everything! Your daycare teachers laugh about how well you eat. They say they have never seen a baby transition to table food so well. You eat pretty much whatever the daycare is serving for breakfast and lunch. You rarely eat baby food at daycare.
You sleep pretty good at night. You go to bed between 7-8 pm and sleep until 6-7 am. Some nights you don't wake up at all, other nights you wake up a lot. You never eat at night. You just need help finding your paci and you go back to sleep. You are still easy to get to sleep at night, too.
Your favorite toys are stuffed animals and toys that light up and make noise. You have a stuffed animal in your crib that you cuddle with every night. I have a feeling it will be around for a while.
