Day 327: Homeless

We said goodbye to the house in Louisville, but don't get to move in to our new one until July 15. I guess it works out pretty well that one of our homeless weeks will be spent in Myrtle Beach.

I told Maya to smile and show us how much better she was feeling. She is feeling better, but passed out at 7 pm. The sleep should help her fully recover for the beach.

Day 326: Moving Out

Today was so much better than yesterday. The movers today were fabulous. They even helped pack all this stuff into my car.
Here are the kids on the empty house.

Today was another crazy day. I had to call over a friend to stay with Mitchell and the movers so I could take Maya to the doctor - thanks Ruth!!! Turns out Maya has had a bacterial infection this whole time. Annoying that this should have been tested for on Monday, but at least she can get better now that we have antibiotics. The movers finished around 4:30 and then we were able to move on out. We are officially homeless!!!

Day 325: Packing Up

Update: We didn't have internet last night because the router was packed. My phone only let me title the blog and nothing else. This is the picture I would have posted. Here are the boxes one packer took 14 hours to pack. The packers were at the house from 8 am - 10 pm. It was a loooooong day!

Day 324: Hi Or High-Five?

Is Mitchell saying "hi" or asking for a high-five???
"What? I didn't do it!"

Day 323: Annoying

Annoying that Maya is still sick.
Annoying that Mitchell basically screamed all day.

Day 321: Bugs In The House

Maya is sick. In bed last night I could tell she was burning up. She slept with me because with only one week left in this house there is really no point in fighting to make her sleep in her own bed. Arthur fell asleep on the couch and was still there around 2 am when Maya woke up freaking out...

Maya (panicking): "Mommy, there's bugs in the house (pointing to the dark ceiling)! Look, the colored bugs, they're in the house."
Me: "Maya, there aren't any bugs, you see the fan. I will turn the fan off."
Maya: "I see the bugs. They're in the house!"
***at this point I'm running downstairs to get Arthur and the thermometer. Maya continues to scream in bed about the "bugs." ***
Maya: "Daddy, there's bugs in the house."
*we managed to calm her down enough to get her to lay down and we turned the lights out to go back to sleep. Before I know she is sitting up and refusing to lay down on her pillow.*
Me: "Maya, honey, lay down and go to sleep."
Maya: "No, there's bugs on my pillow. They're going to rip it up!"
*I don't know how we got her to go to sleep. Eventually she gave up and passed out. She was seriously freaked out by the "bugs."

Anyway, she had a fever when she woke up and has complained about her throat hurting. It is probably strep throat. This will probably add a visit to the doctor on Monday to my ever-growing to do list for next week.

Day 320: Weird Picture

I took this picture tonight because it was the first time Mitchell figured out how to pull up on our couch. When I looked back at it, it looks like Maya is flying on the right side of the picture. I have no idea how it happened or what is going on. Maybe Maya really can fly!

Day 315: Celia's First Birthday

The future Mrs. Bradley is having her first taste of cake.

Mitchell is having fun at his wife's birthday party.
Later, he went home to work-out so he can stay in shape for his girl.

Day 314: Mitchell Pulls Up

We spent this evening at the Cincinnati Zoo for 5/3's picnic. Maya had great time despite the humidity.

Later, Mitchell showed us how he can pull up and start to cruise.

Day 313: Princess Cassaleah

Maya is always making up new names. Tonight she told me she was Princess Cassaleah. I had to make up the spelling.

Day 310: Happy Birthday, Lolo

Sorry, no picture of the birthday girl. Today's picture is of something that rarely happened today. Mitchell has been screaming the past two days. Last night he threw up all over his crib. He didn't seem to be feeling bad today, but the fussiness has continued. Since he has been in bed tonight it has been a mad rush to get everything done that I couldn't do while he was awake today.
On a positive note, I accepted another part time job today. I will be doing home health for adults part time and also working in a school 2 days per week. I'm excited that everything seems to be working out now. It has been a rough ten months, but everything should start getting better by Mitchell's first birthday.
