Day 99: 3 Years, 7 Months

I am very disappointed in the quality of the 43 Month picture on Maya's page, however it is late and Maya is not cooperating, so it will have to do. Maya, here is what you are up to at 3 years, 7 months:

  • You know all your letters and letter sounds, with the exception of "s." You know the sound but for some reason cannot remember the name.
  • You are starting to try to spell things. You named your baby doll "Curla" and even told me her name begins with "c" and says /k/.
  • You are interested in learning to write, but "m" is really the only letter you write well.
  • You are talking to yourself and "imaginary friends" more and more often.
  • You are pretty good and retelling stories like in books, movies, and TV shows.
  • You are very independent and able to play by yourself. This is very helpful with an infant in the house.
  • You are so attentive to Mitchell. Always making sure he is covered up and ok.
You get leg cramps often and have been getting sick a lot the past few months. If you get strep three more times before May your tonsils may need to come out.
  • Bedtime is still a pain. But your daddy is gone so much and you are growing too fast for me to be stressed about you sleeping in my bed. I'm just going to enjoy it for now because it won't last forever.
  • You freak out when friends have to go home or you have to leave your friends. There is horrible screaming and crying and usually a complete meltdown.
  • You don't listen well and won't clean up your toys at night. This is on my list as something that needs to improve yesterday!

You are such a delightful little girl (most of the time), growing up way too fast!
