Day 141: Green Beans
Here's Mitchell strapped in and getting ready for his first taste of green beans. Notice the big scratch on his forehead? He had that when he woke up this morning. Apparently I didn't make his bottle fast enough.
First bite: "I don't think so, mom!"
Second Try: "Ok, I'll move it around in my mouth a little. Maybe I'll swallow some."

Day 138: Attempt To See Santa
I apologize in advance for the quality of these pictures. We left our Nikon at home today.
The kids were such great sports waiting in line for Santa for about an hour.
Maya was not looking forward to seeing Santa.
This is as close to Santa as Maya was willing to get. He was sitting on the other side of this wall.
Let me just say how frustrated I am with the entire experience. I knew Maya would freak out and not be willing to see Santa, which is exactly what happened. However, I had confidence we could at least get a picture of Mitchell. Why did this not happen? Because some people think their pictures with Santa are more important than everyone else waiting in line. One family literally took 15 minutes trying to get the "perfect" picture. Shouldn't there be a time limit? Mitchell was happy and smiling until the two minutes before our turn, when he just decided to start screaming. This meant after waiting for an hour, we had two screaming children and no Santa pictures. I do not blame my wonderful children who behaved themselves waiting for an hour. Maya can't help that she is scared and Mitchell couldn't help that he had reached his awake time limit. But adults should know better!
